Paul Camera was a well-respected and much-loved coach at Marin Catholic. While he was at Marin Catholic, the team had a record of 111 wins and 27 losses. He first coached the Marin Catholic Freshmen from 1980-1981 and then moved up to coach the Marin Catholic Varsity for 12 years, from 1982-1993. He returned to coach the Freshmen team for the 1999 season. Marin Catholic’s offense was a force to be reckoned with under Paul’s leadership. Today, football at Marin Catholic is a tradition, and that is in large part thanks to him.

Some of Paul’s most treasured moments were those spent coaching the Wildcats. Known to most as "PC", he could be found during the games up above the announcer's booth at Clahan stadium shouting offensive plays and poking holes in the opponents' defense. As young players, the boys admired him for his sense of humor, his rich vocabulary, his booming voice, his laugh, his suspenders, his rousing speeches and his brilliant offensive mind. As adults, his players remember him as a mentor who taught them that through preparation, focus, and lot of heart they could be the best -- on the football field and in the game of life.
